1. The initial statement of IAMM (mission) is to collect, preserve and spread the knowledge of Islamic Art and Culture.
2. The audiences of IAMM be able to learn in depth information about Islamic Art & culture from the various exhibitions the museum gathered from all over the world. They will discover about Islamic Art & culture by browsing through the different sections in the museum. They will be able to see and sometimes touch the artifacts to get a feel of the beauty of this ancient culture. Description and explanation of each and every of the artifacts displayed are written clearly next to them. Tour guides are available upon request to give verbal explanation for the audiences should it be required.
3. The museum is well lit throughout. It provides sufficient lighting for the details of the artifacts to show. However, since the whole museum is in well lit, white & bright surface, it makes the whole tour a little boring after a while. There isn’t any interesting or special design for the displays. Most of the artifacts are displayed in big glass box except for a few selected ones like the door cloth and stone window which are displayed outside. Worth mentioning is room called
4. The part that I found most interesting and intriguing is the architecture of the mosque all over the world. I find the influence of the local architecture style has on the mosque to be particular fascinating.
5. Dome. It seems that domes are prominent in the architecture of Mosques.
New item on my to-do list: Learn how to code a wordpress theme/layout.
Yarrrrr. I haven’t really looked into it, but from editing the past few layouts for my blogs it seems a tad more difficult than coding a blogspot theme. Just a tad. The problem with using free premade themes is that there’s always something I don’t like about a certain theme, no matter how amazing the rest of it is. Most of the times I end up compromising because I’m lazy, and also because most of the times my blogs get neglected after a few weeks anyway. Okay, I lied. They’re always neglected.
Anyway, I got so frustrated earlier cause I was trying to edit some of the elements of this theme and I just could not, for the life of me, find the bloody code in the style sheet. So Sylv was trying to help me and both of us couldn’t find the code to change the link colors. I tried editing all the a_href styles and none worked. We looked for possible overarching classes that might have overriden the properties, all to no avail. In the end, firebug found the code for us and guess what? It’s not even in style.css -_- The code was in pattern.css, which is not available to edit under the editor. Had to go to cpanel and edit it manually. Dooooooooood, I was so bummed. Why the fuck do you need 2 style sheets for? D: But at the same time I’m glad we found the problem (Y)
Still a lot to be edited before this theme satisfies me. But for now, this will have to do. I know it is plain, but I’d rather it be too plain than have tasteless and tacky images plastered all over. I really dig the javascript for the side bar. Will probably use it for my own layout whenever I make it 8D Can’t you tell that I love grey? This is the third consecutive grey theme that I’m using for my blog. For some reason I really like the color, as dull as it is. I also plan to edit the code to make it widget-aware, and perhaps add a header image/logo.
Not sure if I should put a chatbox/shoutbox on the sidebar. I remember it being one of the requirements when we were asked to make our blog for class back in sem 2. I’m hesitating now because they get so much spam and nonsense posted on ‘em. Alright, to be fair I do get spammed in comments as well, but at least I can moderate those. It occurs to me that a lot of people prefer leaving comments in shoutboxes rather than leaving them through the comment page. Never really understood that. Perhaps most find it troublesome to type in their email address in the comment form? As for me, I prefer comment pages over shoutboxes man.
Can’t remember whether it was a requirement to have our class blog hosted by blogger.com or whether it was just recommended. Been using wordpress for a while now and I’ve since never looked back. Plus the wordpress platform is so much more domain friendly than blogger. I hope I don’t have to change back, else I’d be so bummed. WordPress for the win man, press it up!
Continued from last post… here are some nonsense more “how to” ideas for my tutorial website.
How to be a Ninja
Just thought this would be fun to make. Of course I don’t know shit about being a ninja but hey, that’s where Mr. Google comes in handy, right? (;
How to marry a Chinese billionaire
They actually have real classes for this… talk about being desperate. Gold-digga mode: ON!
How to be a nerd
Cause everybody knows being a nerd is the IN thing nowadays. Or is it me being delusional?
Still trying to come up with more random shit. I kinda like the idea of making a ridiculous and funny tutorial website instead of one that is serious and functional. I don’t know. I like both types. Maybe if I get kiasu enough I’ll make two, just for the fun of it 8D
Few ideas for the web design 1 project. The requirement is to create a tutorial website that contains at least 8 pages with text and images showing step by step instructions to complete 3 tasks (at least) under the chosen topic/category.

Love how the designer plays with typography in his layout. Bold and daring. I love typography so I find websites that make good use of typography interesting and pleasing to look at. Very inspiring indeed. Good use of javascript for the navigation as well.
I love the contrast of the red and grey of this layout (only the first header slide, unfortunately). I totally dig the elegant, classy and sorta vintage style. Mmhm (Y)
Very intuitive interface. Love the interactive elements, and great user experience. Clean and appropriate typeface makes the overall layout very nice and pleasant to read and look at.
